NVQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing-
Foundation Learning is a flexible programme for 16-18 year olds. It is designed to help you prepare for working life, to build your confidence and to provide you with skills and support to help you progress to an Apprenticeship, further education or other work.
The aim of the programme is to help you become more confident and motivated whilst at the same time experiencing work in a commercial salon and gaining qualifications as you go.
Your Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing NVQ Level 1 will consist of not only classroom training, but also home case study and portfolio work. Learners will develop the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills through assisting a qualified beauty therapist in carrying out beauty services in the workplace, whilst themselves gaining basic skills in the techniques.
Throughout the VTCT Level 1 NVQ Certificate in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing learners will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on their occupational competence. This qualification is most suited to learners who wish to pursue a career in beauty therapy.

*Assist with day make-up
*Assist with nail services
Hairdressing Subjects:
*Shampoo & Condition Hair
*Assist with Colour Services
*Blowdry Hair
