Halls of Ivy are looking for 16-18 year olds!!

Some experience may be required, whether you already have an NVQ Level 2 in Hair or Beauty or have attended some short course training we may have a job perfect for you.

30 Hours Per Week
1 Day Per Week- Training in NVQ Level 3 Hair or Beauty
£95 per week

In January 2012 Halls of Ivy are proud to announce we are launching a new Hairdressing training suite at our Romford Branch. Some of the courses available will be:

*14-16 Year Old’s NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing
*Foundation Learning 16-18′s NVQ Level 1 Hairdressing
*Apprenticeships NVQ Level 2 Barbering
*Apprenticeships NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing

The government have announced their plans to create an extra 100,000 apprenticeships. Halls of Ivy are at the fore front of apprenticeships within the beauty industry.

Halls of Ivy Beauty Academy Open New Venue

Halls of Ivy Beauty Academy has opened its second branch in Hornchurch Essex. The academy has been designed to the highest standard with the latest technology using online eportfolios and examinations for all NVQ learners.

The centre has two themed training rooms that house upto 8 students, a luxurious waiting room for clients and a study area for students.

The new centre has also a new home to Halls of Ivys Headoffice.

Young Beautician of the Year 2010 2nd Place

It gives us great pleasure to announce that one of our team Heather Martin, who many of you will know from training at the academy, has achieved a 2nd place in the BBC Three search to find the UK’s top Young Talent of the Year.

She was one of four finalists to be selected out of hundreds of professionals who were all vying to be the BBC Three Top Beautician of the Year.

‘Young Talent of the Year’ is a BBC Three series that celebrates the unsung heroes of Britain and puts the spotlight on the dedicated young professionals who have devoted years to perfecting their craft. Producers say the aim of the series is to celebrate people in jobs that never see the limelight. There are talent shows for dancers, singers and entertainers, but people who are hairdressers, butchers, fishmongers, beauticians or plumbers rarely get their skills recognised.

In the final, she faced a series of tough challenges designed to push her professional skills to the limit, with her every move scrutinised by the expert judges.
