On completion of this qualification you will be able to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using barbering techniques, style and finish hair, cut facial hair into shape and provide shaving services for men. You will be able to work with all hair types ranging from straight hair to very curly, wiry hair. You will also be able to carry out consultations with clients, demonstrate the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices. The Level2 Hair Professional (Barbering) Apprenticeship is a 2 part programme: Part 1- You will learn the following as part of the on-programme qualification: -Consultation -Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp -Cutting hair using barbering techniques to create a variety of looks -tyle and finish men’s hair -Cut facial hair into shape -Shaving services This will be assessed via observations, online exams and written work. Part 2- END POINT ASSESSMENT Apprentices must have achieved the Level 2 Diploma for Hairdressing Professionals. The EPA for the Hair Professional (Barbering) Apprenticeship Standard will be assessed via Observation, Knowledge Examination and Portfolio work. The EPA is an externally assessed examination and the grading descriptors are Pass, Distinction or Fail.
